Robert Schirtzinger created this site with the technical assisitance of the graphic arts "whiz", Upi Struzak:
This site mostly contains Rob's "fun stuff": photographs, paintings, graphics, and casual observations on current events. Much of the "Rumors and Rhymes" material is contributed by several individuals who wisely choose to remain anynomous. These special correspondents include:
L'Angelo Misterioso: Some people find him "eerily prescient" about future events. Most find him an irritating, self-opinionated "know it all". His reply: "You try to saying 'the Emperor has no clothes' to a room full of tailors!"
A.N. Other travels the world in search of unusual people, places, and experiences.
Though possessed of keen intellect with great entertainment value--beware!--he has a well deserved reputation as "The Forest Gump of Near Disasters".
Iwan T. Moore loves
economics and anything to do with money. “Piles of fist cash counted into fat little hundreds,
pert pieces of copper coinage thrust deep into trouser pockets, romantic
foreign money rolling against the thigh with rough familiarity…” these
are the things of his dreams. His favorite movie is “There
Will Be Blood” because it had such happy ending. He wanted
to be a banker but wasn’t "butch" enough. Very
pleasant company, but don’t ever lend him money because he never
repays his debts.
Poison Pen lives
in Sonoma County and revels in the world of “acid wit and
stylish cynicism”. In particular, PP loves
exposing the social gaffs of the newly rich or suddenly poor as they
try to establish their place in the social hierarchy.
Low Life: I. M. Incognito is a former "bother boy" (i.e., soccer hooligan); his shaved head, tasteless tattoos, and multi-hued proboscis betray a stormy youth. Later in life he became a "poacher turned gamekeeper", i.e., a senior and highly respected police officer at Scotland Yard.
